Beauty exists within us and around us.
This is the crowd that would have been if the people only knew.
We can renew our minds, thoughts, perceptions, beliefs, and faith.
Matthew 13:15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.’
The box is our understanding. Our understanding can provide comfort, even a false sense of security. Our minds can trick us away from believing truth showing us how we are wrong. Yet we are all wrong. Each and every one of us participates in sin or spiritual error. Our participation in sin has harmful consequences. There are many who believe this is not true. And they likely will not stay very long to experience evidence contrary to their beliefs. To grow more with God requires us to venture outside of our box. We need to learn more than we know and understand. We will need to shift our inward selves to new experiences, even uncomfortable ones.
With a Biblical growth mindset we can learn so much more about God. We can know God.
Inwardly we participate with both good and evil. We are to cling to God's good or God's righteousness. We are to seek it within our thoughts and make it our goals. We are to learn how it is good, beautiful, and better. Yet as we do, we will learn how it is different. Inwardly we can experience fear and confusion toward our aligning with God, because it is different. This is where we need faith.
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.
Matthew 13:11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
Introduction to "Depth of Knowledge"
Webb's Depth of Knowledge is a widely used model for instruction and learning. We can use this model to learn God's righteousness. Think about Romans 12:9 "Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good." NKJV entitles this as "Behave like a Christian." We are to do what this says, if we want to behave like a Christian. That means we need to know how to do it. Doing it, and doing it well, will require a deeper level of knowledge.
