Let's agree we don't know everything and even more let's agree that some of what we know is incorrect. Then we can humble ourselves, apply selective attention upon God' character, and see how we can develop it.
Romans 12:16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble.
Do not be wise in your own opinion.
If hitting the bullseye is the mark then hitting anything else would be sin. If we are hitting one area of sin and then seek to stop hitting that area as a solution it would still be sin. The only way to fix sin is to hit the mark which is God. Not being with God is sin. Our attention must be selecting the bull's eye.
Eliminating sin from our lives helps us reduce negative consequences of sin, yet it does not help us grow with God. Getting rid of things that create damage can seem like a Godly solution, yet we can still miss out on all who God is; love, mercy, compassion, peace, truth, justice, patience, and generosity. Easing pain can feel better, but it doesn't fill the soul as we ought to be doing through our receiving of God's grace.
Sin management is not the goal. The goal is grace management. We ought to be stewards of God's grace. We ought to set our goals continuously upon God's goodness, righteousness, and character traits. We must build our senses of God's grace through practice Godly experiences.
1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
